Front Forks
BSA Competition Department Forks
BSA Competition Department (BCD) Magnesium alloy forks have been rebuilt with new stanchions, seals and outer dust covers. I only have one BCD fork top so to match, another will have to be made. For the time being a standard steel B50 top has been used. I also only have one 4 stud bottom clamp that was on these forks. The standard B50 forks had been modifyed to a 3 stud clamp.
Cheney forks/yoke and Ceriani yokes
Original Eric Cheney forks in great condition. As i understand it, eric bought a ex war department gun bore to make his own forks.
The Cheney fork yoke will not pair with a standard BSA frame and Cheney 35mm stanchions will not fit in the BSA yoke. An Greeves Challenger Ceriani yoke was found in the shed that would hold the 35mm stanchions perfectly. All i have done is make two alloy bushes in order to fit the BSA yoke stem into the Ceriani's. This is not ideal as i had to turn the bottom yoke upside down in order to use the yoke steering stops as i did not want to start welding the frame. Another down side is the steering angle is now way too steep. Once i have fitted the standard forks back on the bike, i will tig weld some lugs on the bottom yoke so i can use it the correct way.
